Great premiere. First Russian multimedia folk performance “Trinity. History Alive”

Moscow Region Philharmonic supported by Moscow Government and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior Foundation presents the premiere of multimedia folk performance "Trinity. History Alive".

From 15 June to 28 August one of Moscow's major venues, the Church Council Hall at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior hosts a run of performances unparalleled in this country.

"Trinity. History Alive" is an incredible multimedia journey into the depths of Russia's history and culture. The protagonists take the audience on an hour-and-a-half trip to Russian customs and traditions. The fascinating story is backed up by legendary canvases from the Tretyakov State Gallery.

Music by celebrated Russian composers provides accompaniment for the action: Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Koraskov, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Schnittke, and others. The audience will be introduced to classical works in unusual arrangements performed by a folk orchestra.

The production features some of the most highly acclaimed Russia's ensembles: MRP's ensemble Russkiye Uzory, Moscow ensemble "Russkiye Sezony", and Sudakov Moscow State Capella.

MRP's CEO Ilgiz Yanbukhtin comments: "The Church Council Hall is a unique location that is so much more than just another venue. Trinity. History Alive is the first project of this kind to be presented here. The project already proved successful as a combination of professional music with tourism addressing broad audiences, including Moscow visitors. The team of producers and distributors feels pride and an understanding of great responsibility for the work. We are hoping to deliver a production that meets the standards of the Church Council Hall."
