Regional Philharmonic comes up with brand new projects
An updated style, team, repertoire, and stars on the posters – that’s how the restored Moscow Regional Philharmonic kicks off its season. The season opener has already been a thrill. On 28 September at Tchaikovsky State Memorial Museum in Klin the premiere of Igor Raikhelson’s concert for piano and orchestra was performed by the world-class pianist Boris Berezovsky and Moscow City Symphony – Russian Philharmonic.
Moscow Region Philharmonic moves to Barvikha till end of year
Moscow Regional Philharmonic, based in Moscow, is moving to a venue in “Barvikha Luxury Village”, a multi-purpose complex, up until the end of the year 2014, Interfax was told by the press agency of the Department for Culture in the Moscow region.

On 1 September the “Tete-a-tete” program on “Nashe Podmoskovye” radio features Nikolay Azarov, principal of Choral Arts Academy named after V.S. Popov, chief choirmaster of State Academic Moscow Choir of the Moscow region named after A.D. Kozhevnikov, who’s on the contest committee for creating the hymn of the Moscow region.

New corporate look, new web-site, new repertoire, new celebrities in the calendar, and new team – that’s Moscow Region Philharmonic restored in 2013 after a 10-year break. The 2014-2015 concert season will have a comprehensive concert line-up, too. All the changes will be presented at the press conference for the opening of a new concert season on 28 September 2014.
Moscow Region Philharmonic headed by Ilgiz Yanbukhtin faces the challenge of creating a fully functioning music arts organization balancing classic, folk, and pop music and delivering an artistic product meeting the highest standards to audiences across the Moscow region.
