MRP's Choir on its way

MRP's Choir on its way

State MRP's Choir is on its way to enhancement.

The choir is truly multi-instrumental, with its repertoire encompassing everything you might imagine, from classical and folk music to newly composed works. Rich and exciting artistic life of the ensemble continuously attracts bright and gifted musicians.

Recently the choir participated in celebrating the 700th anniversary of Sergius of Radonezh in Sergiyev Posad and the concerts celebrating the 200th anniversary of M. Lermontov in Serednikovo. On 2 October the choir performed at the concert celebrating the 85th anniversary of the Moscow region at Crocus City Hall alongside Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Nikolay Rastorguyev, Oleg Gazmanov, and Alexander Marshal. The concerts given at Moscow International House of Music have been a success, too: “Polovtsian Dances” from opera “Prince Igor” with Italian conductor Gianlucas Marciano on October 22 and the concert of Russian folk song with conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev on November 1.

On 13 October the choir performed at the Grand Hall of the Conservatory alongside College Boys’ Choir named after A. Sveshnikov as part of the 10th International Choir Festival. The Festival of Choral Music named after P. Chesnokov in Istra town featuring the choir has been another highlight. On 4 November on Unity Day a concert titled “Great Russia” was held at Tchaikovsky Memorial Museum, with the choir performing with the notable pianist Alexander Ghindin and “one of the most brilliant contemporary conductors” Alexander Vakoulsky.

The magnificent season kickoff will continue on 15 November at the State Kremlin Palace, where the artistic meeting of the composer Igor Krutoy will be taking place. The choir musicians will perform with the world-class stars Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Sumi Jo, Yuri Bashmet, and Aida Garifulina.

We invite you to Barvikha Luxury Village on December 1 to festivities closing the Year of Culture in the Russian Federation.
