Charity Easter Сoncert

State Academic Moscow region choir named after Kozhevnikov, which is part of Moscow Region Philharmonic, was featured in Charity Easter Concert. The musical festivity was held yesterday, on 15 April 2015, at the Grand Hall of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.

The concert also featured: Quartet of soloists of State Academic Bolshoi Theatre, Choir of Choral Art Academy named after Popov, combined choir of children's choral groups of Moscow, and Moscow City Symphony "Russian Philharmonic". Conductor – Alexey Petrov. Special guest - Sergey Nikitin. Piano - Alexander Pokidchenko.

The concert was supported by nonprofit charity fund "Mir iskusstva". The fund provides help and support to gifted children with developmental disabilities. They get a chance to work on their skills, take part in workshops led by best teachers, and perform at prime venues. All the programs of the Fund got support of President Vladimir Putin, Moscow government, and UNESCO.

Soloists of World Children's UNESCO Choir and children under care of "Mir iskusstva" were in the spotlight at Charity Easter Concert. Disabled children shared stage with leading music ensembles of Russia.

The holiday brought together music from different countries: works by Russian and Soviet authors, remarkable final movement of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, and "World Prayer" by Greek composer Vangelis.
