Dunayevsky gives concert in Khimki

The springtime part of Maxim Dunayevsky's anniversary tour of Moscow region has come to an end. A series of successful concerts in Krasnogorsk, Zvenigorod, Voskresensk, Zhukovsky and Podolsk were followed by the final concert in Khimki, presented by Moscow Region Philharmonic on 17 April 2015.

Maxim Dunayevsky spent the entire evening at the piano, treating the audience to a string of hits from favorite films - "The Three Musketeers", "Oh vaudeville", "Mary Poppins, Goodbye", "The Green Van". He also revealed his knack for storytelling, sharing fascinating reminiscences of his collaboration and friendship with film directors and artists.

Celebrated theatre and cinema actor, singer and TV host Dmitry Kharatyan performed a few well-known songs at the concert. Talented singer and participant of popular TV contests Angelina Sergeyeva also sang some hits with Dunayevsky and Kharatyan to the accompaniment of "Cocktail project" band.

Dunayevsky's concert was part of celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, featuring wartime songs: "A Little Blue Scarf", "Na Bezimyannoy Vysote", "Zhuravli" ("Cranes"), "Let's Smoke", "Where Are You Now, My Fellow Soldiers", "Dark Night", "Victory Day". The songs of Isaac Dunayevsky, father of the composer, were also played, including legendary hymn of the capital "My Moscow".

The concert at Khimki closed Dunayevsky's tour of Moscow region. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall will host a gala concert on 4 July 2015 at 7 pm summing up the anniversary journey.
