Low Sunday

On the first Sunday following Easter Sunday, on 19 April 2015, a folk feast was held at Tchekhov's Museum "Melikhovo". The program was ever so eventful, offering interactive games, workshops, exhibitions, and performances.

A concert was given as part of the feast featuring soloists and ensembles of Moscow Region Philharmonic: instrumental duet "Silver Strings", folk singer Vlada Klimova, soloists of "Russkiye Uzory" (artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra – Vladimir Zozulya). The program was celebrating the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Musicians performed Russian folk songs and romances in original arrangements and a virtuoso musical piece on spoons. To mark the 70th anniversary of Great Victory wartime songs were played: "A Little Blue Scarf", "From Old Time Heroes", "Zhuravli" ("Cranes"), "Dark Night" etc. The artists were conveying imagery through their distinct manner of playing, revealing a superb technique.
