“Extravaganza of Sounds” by Oleg Kalagurov

On 21 May 2015 soloist of Moscow Region Philharmonic Oleg Kalagurov presented program "Extravaganza of Sounds" at culture centre "House of Ozerov" in Kolomna town.

The concert was truly spectacular, a marvelous combination of miscellaneous piano pieces in terms of style and character: romantic and austere, improvisational and rigorous. It featured a Beethoven's classical sonata, Chopin's pieces, "Petrarka's Sonnet no. 123" by Liszt, "Rhapsody in Blue" by Gershwin. To mark the 175th anniversary of Tchaikovsky Oleg Kalagurov performed "Sentimental Waltz", piece "May" from "The Seasons", and Andante maestoso from ballet "Nutcracker".

The performance was part of the events observing the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. To celebrate this holiday Mikael Tariverdiev's soundtracks from "Seventeen Moments of Spring" were played.

The audience welcomed the program with rapture. The low-key setting of the hall enabled the spectators to feel every subtlety of the performing. Oleg Kalagurov's artistry and fascinating comments by host Liliya Morozova had the audience spellbound by the piano "Extravaganza of Sounds".
