Festival “Flowers of Moscow region” in  Klin

13th festival "Flowers of Moscow region" has closed in Klin. It was has been organized by the Ministry for Culture and the Ministry for Infrastructure of Moscow region.

The festival, which was hosted by Demyanovo mansion, was part of festivities marking the 175th anniversary of great Russia composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Klin has had a great significance for Pyotr Tchaikovsky; that is where he spent the last years of his life and worked on the scores for "Iolanta" and "The Nutcracker", wrote Piano Concerto no. 3 and Symphony no. 6.

A contest was held, with the participants doing flower arrangements in a way that was related to Tchaikovsky's music.

On 12 July the winners of the festival received awards. Singer, actress, TV and radio host Ilona Bronevitskaya took part in the ceremony.

The program featured artists of Moscow Region PhilharmonicState academic orchestra of soloists "Russkiye Uzory" . Elena Umanskaya, head of Culture and Arts Department of Klin municipal district, hosted the concert.
