“Russkiye Uzory” at Central Music Culture Museum

“Russkiye Uzory” at Central Music Culture Museum

On 22 October State orchestra of soloists “Russkiye Uzory” presented a recital for children titled “Voices of Folk Instruments” at the Prokofiev Hall of the Central Music Culture Museum. The orchestra’s music director is People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Zozulya. The recital was conducted by Oleg Tarasov.

The event is part of Collaboration agreement between MRP and Russian National Association of Music Culture named after composer Glinka.

The Association’s CEO and adviser to Culture Minister of Russian Federation Mikhail Bryzgalov and MRP’s CEO Ilgiz Yanbukhtin spoke words of welcome.

The program featured interpretations of classical pieces, original works written for the orchestra’s instruments, and folk music.

The unsurpassed ensemble used up to two hundred old lesser known musical instruments – different versions of woodwinds and percussions, commented on as to their origin.

The recital was presented by the Association’s senior researcher, Ph.D. in Art History Irina Novichkova.
