MRP’s Choir, Valery Gergiyev, Orchestra and Choir of Mariinsky at 15th Moscow Easter Festival

On 2 May MRP's State Choir along with the Orchestra and Choir of Mariinsky Theatre performed oratorio by Sergey Prokofiev "Ivan the Terrible" at Tchaikovsky Concert Hall under the baton of People's Artist of Russia Valery Gergiyev. Soloists: Alexey Petrenko (narrator), Yuliya Matochkina (mezzo soprano), Mikhail Petrenko (bass).

In the first section People's Artist of Russia Denis Matsuyev presented Rachmaninoff's Concerto for piano and orchestra no. 2 accompanied by the Orchestra of Mariinsky Theatre. The event was held as part of the 15th Moscow Easter Festival marking the 125th anniversary of Sergey Prokofiev.
