Nutcracker. Award Winners

Nutcracker. Award Winners

"Nutcracker. Award Winners" is a one-of-a-kind project of Moscow Region Philharmonic. Gifted, bright students of music schools and studios share the stage with the award winners of the international annual TV contest for young musicians titled "Nutcracker". The project is spearheaded by the outstanding Russian pianist, Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Ghindin.

"Nutcracker" contest was established by "Kultura" TV channel in 2000. Since that time over 1000 young musicians from across Russia and 15 countries of the world partook in the event. The participants performed to the accompaniment of internationally renowned orchestras, including Moscow chamber orchestra "MusicaViva", "Moscow Virtuosos" orchestra, Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, and others. Aspiring musicians appeared on stage alongside notable conductors Vladimir Fedoseyev, Alexander Rudin, Saulus Sondetskis, Mark Gorenstein, and Sergey Stadler. The contest enabled young virtuosos to showcase their artistry to the professional panel and multi-million TV audiences.

In the season 2014-2015 "Nutcracker. Award winners" was presented to the audiences of Krasnogorsk, Serpukhov, Korolyov, Shchelkovo, Yegoryevsk, Pavlovsky Posad, Fryazino, Chernogolovka, and Krasnoarmeysk. The new concert season will see new towns and venues, vivid performances, and musical insights.
