Yuliya Zhuravlyova

Graduated from Schnittke Moscow State Music Institute majoring in "Performer of folk songs, teacher of vocal art (folk singing)".

Award winner of national and international competitions, such as: Young Talents of Moskovia" (2000), The Hopes of Europe (2000), "Young Talents of Russia (2011). Received certificates of appreciation from Culture Minister of Moscow region "For efficient artistic work and high professionalism" (2011) and from Governor of Moscow region "For years of efficient work" (2012).

Since 2001 has participated in recitals hosted by V. Demin (Moscow, Bely town, Kolomna town).

From 2003 has worked at culture institutions of Moscow region (MRP and Kuzminki arts centre).

The singer's repertoire encompasses well-known folk songs ("Meadow Duck", "Saturday"), well-loved Soviet songs ("Young Sailor", "Old Maple Tree", "The Way You Were", "Oh My Old Mum and Dad"). Numerous songs are recorded on the radio and CD: "Accordion buttons", "Moscow Quadrille".

Ms. Zhuravlyova has presented plenty of recitals in Volokolamsk, Taldom, Shatura, Solnechnogorsk, Istra and other districts of Moscow region, at community centers, resorts, children's music and secondary schools, at factories and hospitals, receiving warm welcome of audiences.

The singer often performs for war and labor veterans at the hospitals of Moscow and Moscow region. Dozens of recitals have been held in collaboration with "Army and Culture" foundation of V. Lanovoy.

As part of The Russian Timbre, Russkiye Uzory and Guslars of Russia Yuliya Zhuravlyova toured in Serbia, Oman, Belarus, Cyprus, and across Russia.

As soloist of MRP's ensembles Yuliya is often featured at official events held by the Governor and the Government of Moscow region, and by the Ministries and departments of Moscow region at Government House and at Old Square.
