Instrumental Capella featured in Russian premiere of Scheve’s oratorio “Death and Resurrection of Christ”

On 24 May at Rachmaninoff Concert Hall (Philharmonic-2) MRP's Instrumental Capella was featured in the festive recital marking the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture and the 140th anniversary of Synodic translation of the Bible into Russian done by the Russian Orthodox Church (1876–2016). For the first time in Russia the full original version of "Death and Resurrection of Christ" by Edward Benjamin Scheve was presented.

The recital also featured the Combined Choir of Russia's Evangelical Churches, Russia's State Academic Chamber Orchestra, artists and soloists of leading Moscow symphony orchestras. Oleg Romanenko was conducting.
