Instrumental Capella and MRP’s Choir at Roman Catholic Cathedral

On 21 February MRP presented a recital by Instrumental Capella and MRP's State Choir at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Holy Virgin Mary. The ensembles performed masterpieces of sacred and secular music of the 18th century: Salieri's Double concerto for flute and oboe with orchestra (soloists – Yelena Koren, Taisiya Gerasimova) and Pergolesi's Stabat Mater (soloists – Irina Terentyeva, Yevgeniya Poluektova, Yekaterina Balina). Artistic leader of Instrumental Capella, Honored Russia's Man of Arts, Chief choirmaster of Mariinsky theatre Andrey Petrenko was conducting.
