MRP’s Choir shares stage with Gergiyev and Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra

On 23 April MRP's State Choir for the first time shared stage with the Symphony Orchestra of Mariinsky Theatre. People's Artist of Russia Valery Gergiyev was conducting. As part of the marathon marking 125th anniversary of Sergey Prokofiev, the composer's cantata "Seven, They Are Seven" (lyrics by K. Balmont) was performed at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. Soloist – Igor Morozov (tenor).

On 2 May MRP's Choir will again perform at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall with the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Mariinsky Theatre at the 15th Moscow Easter Festival marking 125th anniversary of Prokofiev. Cantata "Ivan the Terrible" will be presented.
