MRP’s recitals at Museum Night

On 21 May MRP's ensembles took part in the international event "Museum Night".

Gorki Leninskiye Museum hosted a recital by Instrumental Capella (conducted by Dmitry Matviyenko) featuring works by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, P.I. Tchaikovsky, and a medley of soundtracks to Soviet films. Semyon Lisov (violin) and Yelena Koren (flute) were soloing.

Alyabyev Quartet presented a recital at Zaraisk Kremlin as a tribute to composer Mikhail Viyelgorsky (1788-1856). "Musical parlor of Count Mikhail Viyelgorsky" was opened this evening. The ensemble performed works of the Count's favorite composers, as well as his own piece, a theme with variations for cello accompanied by ensemble.

Ensemble of bayan players Russian Timbre was greeting the Museum Night attendees at the Dmitrov Kremlin. Waltz by composer G. Sviridov (from musical illustrations to Pushkin's "The Blizzard"), "Autumn Dream" by composer G. Shenderyov, a well-known song by Solovyov-Sedoy and other pieces were performed in original arrangements by the ensemble's artistic leader, Honored Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Kuzminsky.

Zvenigorod History, Architecture and Art Museum hosted a recital by Instrumental Capella featuring Egor Ivanenko (first violin), Maria Kondratyuk (second violin), Ekaterina Chernova (viola), and Yaroslav Srodnykh (cello). Pieces by F. Kreisler, "A Little Night Music" by Mozart, eccentric comic piece by L. Anderson "The Syncopated Clock", and renowned tangos by Argentinian composers A. Piazzolla and C. Gardel were played at the museum's Tsarina Chambers.
